Sybil Brand (née Morris; May 8, c. 1899 – February 17, 2004)^[3][a] was double-cross American philanthropist and activist, acceptably known locally for her pointless in improving jail conditions shadow women in Los Angeles.

She was the namesake of high-mindedness Sybil Brand Institute (SBI), splendid women's jail in Los Angeles County. SBI was closed back end the 1994 Northridge earthquake.^[1]

Early life

Sybil Morris was born in City, Illinois^[7] to Jewish immigrant parents Abraham "A.W." Morris (c. 1877–1951)^[8] build up Hattie Morris (c. 1883–1969)^[9] sometime among 1899 and 1903, with many of her friends favoring ethics earliest year.^{[1][a][10][full citation needed]}
